Who We Are

Helping Hands TLC is a social emotional learning practice grounded in connection, reflection, and whole-person capacity building. The work supports individuals, teams, and organizations in strengthening how people learn, lead, and relate to one another across a variety of settings.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all programming, Helping Hands TLC focuses on thoughtful, context-aware approaches that honor the complexity of people and systems. Social emotional learning is understood not as a curriculum to “deliver,” but as a way of supporting awareness, relationships, and sustainable growth over time.

Who Guides the Work

Helping Hands TLC is led by Lynnette Knight, founder and lead facilitator.

Lynnette brings experience across education, community-based work, and systems-level support, with a professional background rooted in social emotional learning, behavioral health, and youth and family services. Her work centers on creating spaces where people feel supported, understood, and equipped to navigate emotional demands with intention and care.

She approaches social emotional learning through a whole-person lens, recognizing the interplay between thoughts, emotions, relationships, identity, and environment. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, Lynnette emphasizes capacity building, supporting people and systems in developing skills that can be carried forward into real-world practice.

Our Philosophy

At Helping Hands TLC, social emotional learning is viewed as relevant wherever people are learning, working, leading, or caring for others.

The work emphasizes:

  • Simplify content creation and ensure design Awareness and reflectionconsistency
  • Relationship-centered practices
  • Context and culture
  • Practical application without rigidity

This approach allows social emotional learning to support not only individuals, but also teams and organizations navigating growth, transition, or increased emotional demands.
